Institute of Quarrying

The Institute of Quarrying was founded over 100 years ago by four people with a vision for the Mineral Products Industry. The institute exists to promote the industry's positive impact and the available career opportunities and support professionals working within it. On Monday, the 14th April at the Dunadry Hotel, Antrim, we were delighted that our very own Craigantlet Quarry Manager, Pierce Kirwan, was installed as Chairman with Matthew Greer, Lough Sand Manager, appointed as the Honorary Secretary/Treasurer.

We do not doubt that, along with the IOQ NI Branch committee, Pierce and Matthew will strive to raise standards and share knowledge, the principles which guide the IOQ NI.

Several of their colleagues travelled to the Dunadry to join in and support Pierce and Matthew at the AGM.
