What is low Carbon Concrete (LCC)?

Concrete maturity monitoring is the use of sensors embedded into concrete to generate strength and temperature data. The digital and AI technology enables concrete structures to be built faster, smarter and more safely. Accurate, Realtime data transmitted from the on-site embedded concrete sensors provide irrefutable data management to enable complete control of the building programme and material specification.

Smart technology, CEVO Plus concrete monitoring sensors

CEVO concrete evolution has expanded its carbon reducing capability to offer customers digitally integrated, sensor maturity technology, CEVO+, powered by Maturix. Real-time control of strength and temperature data will deliver your projects faster, smarter and more sustainably. Linked directly via any web browser, you have complete access to the concrete temperature and strength data, allowing absolute confidence in optimising concrete mixes and programme scheduling.

CEVO

CEVO is a range of low carbon concretes with key performance credentials including increased durability, increased early age strength and reduced heat of hydration.

The benefits of on-site concrete monitoring:

  • Simplifies monitoring requirements
  • Optimise concrete mixes to reduce carbon
  • Real-time reporting of strength development based on curing conditions
  • Improves quality control and documentation
  • Accurate in-situ concrete maturity testing data

How CEVO+ on-site concrete monitoring works

Once a Maturix Smart Concrete Sensor is plugged into the thermocouple wire, it sends real-time temperature data to the Maturix Monitoring & Reporting Service. The intuitive interface from this service is available on any web browser where it plots temperature, highlights temperature differential, organizes concrete placements by project, and calculates concrete maturity and strength based on ASTM C1074 – Standard Practice for Estimating Concrete Strength by the Maturity Method.
