Gregg Simpson's 55 years of continuous service

It is with immense pride and heartfelt appreciation that we celebrate with Gregg Simpson on the extraordinary milestone of 55 years of continuous service, which he achieved on the 9th of November 2025.

Gregg's journey with us began on a cold Saturday morning in November 1970, when Sidney Scott welcomed him into the workshop as a young teenager. From that moment, his dedication, reliability, and craftsmanship have been a cornerstone of our success. Over the decades, Gregg has witnessed and contributed to many pivotal moments in our history. One of his fondest memories is the arrival of the new barges in 1974, which remains a vivid chapter in the story. Gregg's passion for working on the barges and his deep connection to the craft have left a lasting impression on all who have had the privilege to work alongside him.

Gregg is known not only for his skill and work ethic, but also for his warmth, humility, and unwavering commitment. His presence has enriched our workplace and inspired generations of young apprentices and colleagues.
