CEF Northern Ireland's Construction Gala Dinner
Northstone were delighted to attend the CEF Northern Ireland's Construction Gala Dinner on Thursday, 27th March, to celebrate 80 years of the industry.
As sponsor of the Next Generation category, we enabled 40 students and their lecturers to attend the function. As a key advocate for the Next Generation, we were proud of our Apprentice Fitter, David Purcell, and Environmental Graduate, Emma O'Brien, who were interviewed on stage by host Pamela Ballentine and Fionnuala McKenna, Head of Strategic Development at Construction Futures. David and Emma outlined why they had joined the industry and the impact they hoped to have during their career.
The evening presented an excellent opportunity to showcase the industry to many of our other apprentices, who enjoyed the evening celebrations and heard from keynote speakers. Whether young or old, everyone in attendance enjoyed the trip down memory lane as the CEF 80th Anniversary video highlighted building and infrastructure projects since 1945.
Congratulations to the Construction Employers Federation on this incredible milestone and a fantastic celebration event!
