The Northstone Concrete Division have recently completed the supply of high strength concrete to the new Warehouses at the Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, often described as the “Oldest Distillery in the World”.
This is the second time that Northstone has supplied concrete to the Distillery through a partnership with the international concrete flooring company Twintec Limited, who are in based Warwickshire.
Approximately 1,000m3 of concrete was supplied and placed over a 4 day period, with the specialist steel fibres and admixtures added on site by Twintec as illustrated in the attached photographs. Consistent and continuous supply of concrete over the 4 day period was paramount, and Northstone Coleraine depot performed flawlessly in this respect.
Northstone Sales Director was delighted with everyone involved in manufacturing and delivering the concrete to Bushmills and deserve great credit in ensuring everything went according to program.
