Policy

All our employees must comply with the Division's Health and Safety Policy as managed by the Managing Director, which sets out employees' responsibilities. It is used to ensure health and safety arrangements are clear, implemented and constantly reviewed. Annual Health and Safety plans are developed throughout the business detailing health and safety targets, which are formally monitored, to ensure they deliver continuous improvements.

To maintain high standards, the Safety Management system has been accredited to BS OHSAS 18001, and includes the following elements, implemented throughout the Material Division Operations:

Our Division has a Director appointed to be responsible for Health, Safety and Welfare, who is charged with ensuring policy objectives are met and action plan targets achieved. Significant emphasis has been recently placed on the delivery of health and safety leadership initiatives, effective communication of operating procedures and raising employee awareness of health issues.

The Division employs two experienced and dedicated health and safety professionals who ensure the development, implementation and monitoring of our health and safety management system at all locations.
